What was Pyx Lax in Ancient Greece?

Pankration was the Ancient Olympics version of Mixed Martial Arts.  It was the first of its kind, as a form of martial arts., combining boxing and kicking techniques. It was during the first part of the fight where the athlete tried with punching and kicking moves from the box to throw his opponent to the ground and continue with the second part which was the fight. Pyx Lax is the Orthostatis Pankration and the first competitive section of the Pankration sport. It is composed of two aspects of which as a distinctive element, the use of fists (Pyx) and kicks (Lax), were without physical involvement or wrestling. Pankration for men (pankration andron) was first introduced in the ancient Olympic Games in 648 BC of the 33rd Olympiad.
